Marcel Berlanger – PLUVIAL PROTOCOL

rodolphe janssen is pleased to announce PLUVIAL PROTOCOL, the third solo show at the gallery of Brussels-based artist Marcel Berlanger. The exhibition, which is set to take place from May 25 to July 8, 2023, presents a new series of paintings from 2023 centering around the notion of rain.

Marcel Berlanger’s “Rain” series emerged from his technique of dividing the canvas into squares. As the artist was developing this technique, he started to slightly incline these fine tiles, which resulted in an effect that simulated rain falling, thus initiating the PLUVIAL PROTOCOL process.
