Elaine Cameron-Weir’s sculptures blend ephemeral elements like flame, smell, and light with materials including metal, glass, concrete, and stone. They can resemble surgical tools, lab apparatus, torture devices, fetish instruments, military equipment, or medieval armor, balancing protection, pleasure, and suffering in an uneasy way. Element imprints of body traces serve to heighten the physical impression of the works.

Past solo exhibitions were held at SCAD Museum of Art, Savannah, GA USA; Sadie Coles HQ, London, UK; Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH USA; Dortmund Kunstverein, Dortmund, Germany; rodolphe janssen, Brussels, Belgium; White Flag Library, St. Louis, MO USA; Ramiken Crucible, NY, USA; Possible Projects, Philadelphia, PA USA.

She presented works in group shows such as The Milk of Dreams, The 59th International Art Exhibition, Venice, Italy; New Time: Art and Feminisms in the 21st Century, BAMPFA, Berkeley, CA USA ; The Dreamers, 58th October Salon, Belgrade Biennale 2021, Belgrade, Serbia; Mississippi, organized by Sam Korman, GAMeC, Bergamo, Italy; in the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia, PA, USA, at Frieze Projects (outdoor sculpture), New York, NY, USA; Khar Pidda – A Tribute, Flash Art NY Desk, New York, NY USA; and many more.
